KFC Inventory Management System

Problem Definition
KFC wanted an Inventory Management System designed for an iPad device for KFC store employees. The employees will use this system to monitor and track the inventory items used in the store and generate reports at the end of each day.
User Benefits
•KFC employees do a daily count of their inventory stock and wastage management on sheets of paper and then enter this data in the system.
•The idea was to develop an online stock management system on an iPad which will be portable, and the data can be synced to the central system after every count to easily maintain and access records.
•Employee records and shift change data is also captured in the system enabling a centralized repository across different KFC locations

After User Interviews with the store employees a Journey map was created to record and analyze daily activities, pain points and identify design opportunities.
The employee daily tasks had 3 categories according to day shifts:

Problem Definition
Walmart wanted a product for monitoring and managing their rack and case health from all the Walmart stores in USA. It will also help the various stakeholders involved to dig deep and analyze root cause for anomaly detected.
User Benefits
•Walmart Employees currently maintain excel sheets to record observations when they monitor store Rack and Case sensor data.
•They create work orders when the health of a Rack/Case is deteriorating. This happens on a different system.
•This product will allow the employees to view all stores data in a single view and compare different rack and case health to determine accurate root cause.
•Also this system will allow the users to record the feedback and capture action taken like if a work order is created.

eSheet is a custom application developed using Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) used to document various laboratory practices by PPD.
PPD wanted to redesign this entire application with an intuitive User Experience and PPD Design guidelines.
User Benefits
The issue with the current system is that application features, navigation, data flow, and features do not match the actual user flow. With improved user flow, appropriate navigation, and intuitive design, CapMetro 2.0 will provide users with a great user experience and make them feel more at ease due to enhanced Usability and Usefulness.
